Who we are
Atvelo is an AI visibility monitoring service operated from Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who processes it on our behalf. Questions go to hello@atvelo.com.
What we collect
We collect the account details you give us (email address, password held by our auth provider), the company information you enter (name, category, description, website, competitors, scan location if you choose a local scope), and the scan data we produce for you (AI engine responses, scores, citations, recommendations). When you use the free score tool we also record your email and IP address, which we use for rate limiting and abuse prevention. We keep basic product analytics (events like “scan created” or “plan upgraded”) tied to your account. We do not collect payment card details; those go directly to Stripe.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage for your sign in session and small preferences like your theme. We do not run third party advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
How we use your data
We use your information to run scans against AI answer engines on your behalf, compute your visibility score, generate recommendations, operate your dashboard, bill subscriptions, prevent abuse of the free tool, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for their marketing, or use it to train AI models.
Service providers (subprocessors)
The following services process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication; stores all account and scan data), Stripe (payments and billing), OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, and Google (the AI engines we query; they receive the tracked questions we generate, which include your category and positioning but are designed to never contain your brand name), Modal (runs our scheduled scan jobs), Sentry (error monitoring; may receive technical logs when something breaks), Resend (transactional email, when enabled), and our hosting providers (Vercel for the website and a cloud host for the API). We will update this list as it changes.
Data retention
Scan data is retained while your account is active so your history and trends keep working. If you close your account, we delete your company and scan data within 30 days, except records we must keep for accounting or legal reasons.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or close your account at any time by emailing hello@atvelo.com. We respond to verified requests within 30 days. Canadian users are covered by PIPEDA; we honour equivalent requests from any jurisdiction.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will post the update here with a new date. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept it.
